Immunohistochemical Expression of Alpha (Α) A Crystallin in Senile Degenerative and Non-Cataract Lenses

Aim: Comparative immunohistochemical study of expression α A Crystallin in non-cataract lenses and age-related cataract humans. Methodology: This was an observational cross sectional study. There are two groups this Group comprised 121 senile degenerative from diagnosed patients. B included 10 patients who underwent surgeries for enucleation due to trauma retinoblastoma. Lenses were fixed 10% Buffered Neutral Formalin processed make paraffin blocks. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining performed on sections using primary antibody crystallin. Data analyzed through SPSS software version 24. Results: Immunohistochemical group showed 80.2% Strong Positive while 19.8% Intermediate Crystallin. 100% seen B. Comparison significant decrease (p<0.001) expression. Conclusion: Decreased IHC stained lens indicates the role structural alterations fibers pathogenesis cataract.
